Return Policy Desk explains store return policies in plain English, one store at a time, with a quote from the store under every answer.

It is written and run by the team behind Thrifle, which keeps a database of more than two thousand store return policies. Guides here are written separately from that database, from each store's own policy pages. See how we verify.

We are not affiliated with any of the stores we write about. If we ever add shopping links that pay us a commission, they will be labelled, and they will never replace the link to the store's official policy.
