How we verify return policies

Each guide on Return Policy Desk starts from the store's own website, not from other guides, forums or news stories.

What we read

• The store's return policy page, and the other official pages that change the rules: loyalty program terms, online order help, gift and holiday pages.
• When two official pages disagree, the more specific one wins. Program terms beat a summary page, and the policy page beats a marketing banner.

What goes on the page

• One section for each question the store's pages actually answer. If the store is silent on something, we don't guess and there is no section for it.
• A short quote from the store under every answer, with a link to the page it came from and the date we read it.
• The quick answer at the top only repeats what the sections below support.

When stores change their rules

Stores update their policies without notice. Every guide shows the date we read the policy. If the store's page now says something different from ours, the store's page is right. Tell us at support@returnpolicydesk.com and we will re-check it.
